Before joining BuildBuilt, Jessica was a Client Service Manager in the events and exhibition industry. Overseeing successful and revenue-generating trade shows, sales meetings, events and industry conferences, Jessica manages these projects from receiving the brief to onsite execution. After years in the former trade, she came aboard with BuildBuilt with the mindset of building permanent spaces that would impact and grow with the lives of our clients.

 
 
 

What do you do to relax?

Try new food, cafes and restaurants with friends, binge watch Netflix shows and take long walks on nature trails

What’s top on your Bucket’s List?

Visit Machu Picchu. Take off and go on a road trip for a year or two. Try van life.

What does work mean to you?

Meeting and engaging with people from different walks of life. Learning something new on every project. And of course for the money to enjoy good food and travel.

 
 

Why do you do what you do?

The sense of satisfaction when all is done and dusted. The process though stressful at times, is very rewarding at the end.

Where is your next travel destination?

Hawaii. Experience the culture. Island hop. Go on hiking trails. Chill at the beach (hopefully a secluded one). Take in all that nature has to offer. And of course try all the FOOD. USA for all the national parks Scandinavian countries just because...

If you have unlimited resources, which world problem would you wrestle with?

There is a lot of talk about sustainable construction. However, sustainable construction is not easily achievable due to its high cost. I would make eco-friendly materials more accessible and affordable to all, so that we can actually start affecting change on the environment. Climate change is a tough problem to tackle, but I believe that such efforts will make a difference for generations to come.

What's a good film/series/book/podcast to recommend?

Podcast: The Jordan Harbinger Show, Let's Not Meet, Genius Brain, Rotten Mango Movies/ Shows: Too many to list. Thrillers, true crime and action genres mostly

If you could only eat this for the rest of your life - what would it be?

This is really hard. Probably chicken rice? It's my go to when have no idea what to eat

Why is good design important to you ?

Good design is important as it sets the mood and tone for the space. A well designed space also aligns aesthetics with functionality.

 
 

Describe the best experience that comes to mind

Visiting Iceland. Everything about Iceland just took my breath away. Managed to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights on the last night there too! Definitely going back there again to experience their midnight sun while driving round the ring road in a camper van.
