We came across Build Built because some of my friends had their projects done with them & had positive feedback. One look on their profile we knew there were not the typical “standard template with lots of build-in” kind of interior & project management firm! Love the style, the taste, and we could feel they were adventurous in being different.
We had very strong views of exactly what we wanted. We wanted our place to be a combination of the places that we had travelled to. Chevron engineered wood flooring was a must! We wanted a curve wall, curve carpentry and shaker style kitchen cabinets.
During our first session, Nadia & Kunal presented the look and feel - together with the proposed materials! We felt a deep connection with Nadia, she took the time to understand what we wanted & further enhanced it with very honest feedback both from an aesthetics and practical standpoint. Back then, Nadia only had a couple of years of experience in this industry. Most people would only engage those who have many years of experience well because the risk is lower - but I beg to differ. Fresh team always means fresh ideas and fresh perspectives, sometimes being too long in a industry keeps you a little box (no offence to the veterans!). Nadia has architecture background which explains her attention to detail. Not surprisingly, we placed the deposit to confirm their services within that week.
Throughout the whole design process, we love that they did not impose their ideas on us. They were very open and focused on what the client likes & wants. Of course with every home renovation project there were some little hiccups on the project management side. However, when things went a little wrong, we like that they were very fair, honest & reasonable. Things were resolved smoothly and on a best effort basis.
Our kitchen turned out nicer than the mood board they did for us initially. Wow, talk about exceeding customer’s expectations! We have since moved in for close to a year now and the team has been doing such a great job maintaining ongoing relationships. We are still exchanging texts on interior & furnishings. Special shoutout to Zack for arranging the plumber to our place when we had issues. It was hard to get manpower with the CB measures in place and for that - we’re so thankful.
Thank you team BB for making our home journey so exciting & truly a season where we can look back and have so much precious memories. In the years to come, should we need to renovate / restyle our new / current home we are glad to know who we can fall back on. BB is not just a firm that we’ve engage to build our home, but more of people who we’ve chosen to come into our lives to journey on with us.
And we are so glad we made that choice.
