DESIGNER

Michelle

Born and raised in Indonesia, Michelle started to pursue her design dreams when she was 18. She moved to the Netherlands where she learned not only a whole lot about Architecture but also about different people and cultures. She then moved to Singapore to continue her studies in Interior Design and graduated from Lasalle College of the Arts with an Honours degree. Since then, she has been working in Singapore as an Interior Designer in the commercial and residential sectors. She hopes to bring happiness into people’s lives through her works and personal interactions.

 
 
 

What do you do to relax?

Some days I'd take a walk around the park and listen to the sounds of nature, on other days I would go to listen to music and dance to it.

What’s top on your Bucket’s List?

I really want to fly.. but it's not possible, yet. So I would really want to skydive or bungee jump.

What does work mean to you?

To me, work is a gift; where we are able to create and contribute to society.

 
 

Why do you do what you do?

I believe that everything happens for a reason and that every one of us has a purpose on this earth!

Where is your next travel destination?

I would love to visit Iceland/Norway to see the northern lights or explore the natures of New Zealand.

If you have unlimited resources, which world problem would you wrestle with?

Education; so people can develop critical thinking and self dependency to improve the society. World Hunger; because food is a necessity, you can't live without it..

What's a good film/series/book/podcast to recommend?

I recently accompanied my friend to watch Top Gun Maverick, I thought it was a very well spent $9.50. I also think The Chosen is a good series.

If you could only eat this for the rest of your life - what would it be?

Spam with egg mayo and rice.. and lots of mayo..

Why is good design important to you ?

Because there's no point in designing if it doesn't inspire anyone or solve anything.

Describe the best experience that comes to mind

Experiences that you cannot even describe... for me its definetely experiencing and witnessing miracles :)
