We set off on a journey to revamp a 4 bedroom apartment for a work-from-home couple and their young child. Our aim was to create a pleasing yet intuitively functional home-working environment.

Proposed Colour Palette, Material Palette and Mood Images

For this home, the clients had preference for a neutral colour palette of greys, nudes, and white. Yes, plenty of white. The colour and material palette gave the apartment a refreshing, light-filled atmosphere.

A Well Rounded Design: Dining Room

Our client had the idea of including arches in the design, which we adopted to become a distinct architectural feature within the home: A set of twin arched hallways that serves as a visual break between the living and dining areas.

Undistracted: Study

We played with shades of beige to complement the bright white of the study. An undistracting, empty canvas for a working mind.

A Dash of Calming Teal: Living Room

Most of the space is a sublime white, forming a pure contrast for the neutral tones of the furnishings. The earthy tones of the unique coffee table stools, golden sheen of the chrome door details, and various wooden cabinetry infuses a subtle warmth into the space. A single teal grey backdrop in the living room extends a soothing atmosphere for the whole central communal area of the home.

Sunshine in my Pocket: Bathroom

The vanity mirror cabinet neatly frames up the bathroom’s window. It was an important connection to natural light and circulation that was not to be obstructed, now cleverly reintegrated with a more functional form.
