Our clients approached us with strong design preferences and select key feature elements in mind (engineered wood chevron floors was a must!). Our agenda then, was to translate and adapt the interior intentions within the given space, while making sure that we achieve a strong cohesive and aesthetic direction.
Layout & key architectural features - after collapsing of the original walls, the introduction of a gentle curve into the living space helped open up the previously secluded living area. This made the sitting room feel much more welcoming upon entry. The curved element later overflowed into other nooks and crannies, serving as a spatial demarcation in other transitional spaces (note the subtle arches at kitchen entryway & corridor) of the home.
Bounded by a palette of neutrals, the rustic charm of the space is brought forth by the contrast of the decor against the clean architectural features. Subtle pops of colour, patterns and textures were also introduced throughout the house to inject some personality, making it a sleek, fresh yet lively home for the young couple.
The tender warmth of the space is further enhanced through the deliberate use of accent colours around the house. These are are brought out with selected soft furnishing & accessories.
